N-acetyl-l-methionine is a colorless or glossy white crystal or white powder made by acetylation of L-methionine with excess acetic acid or acetic anhydride.
Odor: Odorless or almost odorless
Melting point:103-106 ℃, [α] d20-20 °± 0.5
Solubility: Soluble in water, ethanol, alkaline solution and dilute inorganic acid, almost insoluble in ether.
Application: Nutrition supplement.
